In the comics, Huey's home cellphone number has a 443 area code, which belongs to the Baltimore metropolitan area, though people often keep the same number when moving. In "Wingmen," the Freemans fly 'home' to Chicago, where they lived before moving to Woodcrest, to attend a funeral. In "The Fried Chicken Flu," a reporter on a passing television screen reports on the titular disease's effect on the state of Maryland.
